Expectations
aligned with PBIS Classroom Teaching Matrix
Every teacher has expectations for student behavior and participation. As a new teacher, I had to ponder and articulate what I would expect of my future students. A great deal of consideration went into the design of this matrix. It was part of my coursework to clearly define expectations as a set of positively stated actions that are logically outlined across various learning activities and transitions. I expect this to be a useful tool to help me stay focused on what I expect from myself and my students. I crafted each step with a focus on personal responsibility and a growth mindset. Mrs. Melton's class is READY for learning!
